In the new SES Canadian company "TIU Canada Ltd" has invested 11 million euros.
This was announced by the chairman of the Dnipro RSA, Valentin Reznichenko.
"Attracting investment and developing energy independence of the country are the main priorities of the state policy of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. Dnipropetrovsk region successfully combines them and already demonstrates the first achievements, - said Valentin Reznichenko. - There are already two solar power stations in the region - in Podgorodne and Nikopol. Not a dime of budget funds was spent on their construction. Everything for account of the investor."
The power station in Nikopol was built for six months. Dnipro RSA and Dnipro Investment Agency contributed to the implementation of the project.
"Now this is the most powerful solar power plant built by the investor. Its construction required almost 11 million euros. Over 15 thousand hectares of land have placed more than 32 thousand panels. The station's power is 10 MW of electricity per day, "said the chairman of the Dnipro RSAValentin Reznichenko.
The Canadian investor chose Nikopol not by accident, said the representative of the investor company Ivan Bachinsky.
"Nikopol is one of the sunniest terrain in the region, so it was decided to locate the power plant here," he said. - This is the first capital investment of our company in Dnipropetrovsk region. There is mutual understanding with the regional leadership on the further development of eco-energy."
All panels at the Nikopol Power Plant are foreign manufacturers, but the designs are Dnipro.
"Such facilities have already proven themselves positively in Europe. Solar energy not only does not dry out, but it is also ecologically clean", - said the first deputy chairman of the Dnipro RSA Oleg Kuzman.
The solar power plant is located on the territory of the Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant.
