The fact that the Sun can and should serve a man has been known for a long time. Three centuries ago in Switzerland was invented a solar collector, actively used in the 19th century by travelers, archeologists and scientists.
Life on the planet is impossible without energy. The physical energy conservation indicates that energy cannot arise from nothing and does not disappear without a trace. It can be obtained from natural resources such as coal, natural gas or uranium, and transformed into convenient for us forms (light and heat). In the world around us, we can find various forms of energy accumulation, but the most important for humanity is the energy that is given by the sun's rays – solar power. Solar power refers to renewable energy sources. This is one of the environmentally friendly energy sources, which does not pollute the environment. Possibilities of using solar power are practically unlimited and scientists all over the world are working on the development of systems that expand the possibilities of using solar power.
One square meter of the Sun emits 62 900 kW of energy, it roughly corresponds to power output of 1 million electric bulbs. Every second the Sun gives the Earth 80 thousand billion kW, and it’s several times more than all power plants all over the world! There is important task before modern science - to learn the most complete and effective use of the Sun’s power, as the most safety power. Scientists suppose the solar power is the humanity future.
